(no subject)

Barge coma is just another way for the man in charge to fuck with us.

[Private to Parker's friends (especially the Tough Ass Women club.)
So did I miss anything important while I was dead to the world?

[Private to Parker.]
You. Me. Talking. I've got something for you.

[Private to Angelica]
Let's play with some fucking swords.

[Private to Laura]

He is a better man than most. [Especially when it came to Judas Iscariot. He always had been a better man than most.

Angelica watched as Parker stood and began to pace, nodding her head slowly.]

Aye, madam. After he graduated. I must add, he did fear the Sexby had abandoned him, though I reassured him otherwise. Sexby does not make promises he does not intend to keep. Still, I suppose I cannot truly fault him for worrying.

[Though Angelica certainly could still fault Judas for saying such things in public. She could fault him for not feeling remorse about it as well. She could fault him for being a hypocrite, and for being spiteful, for if he felt no remorse then he was inviting ill-will towards him.

She also could fault him for calling her a whore and wishing to do harm to her while she was with child, but those were very personal matters.]

[Angelica fell silent for a long moment. It was a topic she simply was not comfortable with, considering there were many on the Barge who were ill-suited to being a warden.

However, she did wish that Judas had gone off to seek the family that he so desired, instead of remaining on the Barge out of fear or whatever it had been that kept him from going.]

I think...in time, perhaps. [She frowned, glancing over at Parker with a worried expression on her face. She knew perfectly well that she didn't sound very convinced, but it was a struggle for her to say negative things against Judas. She didn't want to be bitter.] There have been wardens aboard who had been horrid at what they do. I think that Judas simply remains for the wrongs reasons, and he will not find the happiness here that he seeks.

[She raised her brow,] Madam, should a man be an inmate solely for being prone to whine? Or even for having a temper? [Angelica shrugged and brought a hand to her head. But what else had Sexby been supposed to do? His job hadn't been to reform a personality, just judgement - but even if he had somewhat succeeded in that, and his leaving had been a test of all that Judas had learned, then his charge had failed miserably.]

Aye, maybe he was unprepared, I know not. Maturity aside, he claims to be a loyal man, but the moment Sexby left he began to doubt him. He had best not do the same to his inmate. [She looked once more towards Parker, understanding why she would be so cross at the matter.] I admit, he is not suited for this.

[Angelica noticed the change in her tone. She hadn't blamed her for her reaction - bitterness and anger, even dismay had been appropriate, but Angelica liked to keep a level head when she could. As angry as she was with Judas, and as fed-up with his behaviour as she had become, she knew launching into a tirade against him would help no one.

She nodded her head, her acknowledgement for the shift in tone.] Aye. Hopefully he will be given an Admiral not prone to violence either, for I would fear the worst.

[She got to her feet.] Well, I seem to have spoiled the moment. Think you that bringing swords into the pub would be permissible?
