[Lyle is sitting behind Parker's antique desk, and he's got his feet on top of it. At his elbow is a bottle of her best scotch, and it's missing a bit, which has probably been poured into the glass. On his left hand, he's wearing a glove, and he's got several files in his lap.]

So this is where my big sis popped off too. I wondered where she'd gone. [No you didn't, Lyle, shut up.]

Funny how priorities can shift.

I'm Mr. Lyle, and I'm going to be taking care of you for a while.

But not cooking. Let the staff do that.

Erik, I feel like we should talk.

I don't recall asking for your opinion, kid.

[Lyle's rubbing his face from where Erik's punch hit, and he dropped the taser onto the floor.]

Mind dragging the trash away? I've got things to do here.

[Trash, yes, he wouldn't mind throwing this homo sapien over the rail with the rest of it. But his muscles refused to cooperate, and it was all he could do to keep his teeth clenched tight to avoid bi ting his tongue.]

You'll stay off the network, [he bit out, completely ignoring Tim (his would be savior, a child and a human? Not something he wants to recognize).] If you know what's good for you.

[Tim just glared at Lyle, retrieving the taser before either one of them could grab it again and offered a hand to Erik, still mindful and wary of the other man.]

Come on, you should probably go to the infirmary.

Well, that seemed like a threat. [Lyle brushed his fingers over his cheek, wiping some blood from his lip for a moment.]

Once he's done with the infirmary, this zero level I think. After all, we wouldn't want something like this to happen again.

[Erik ignored the hand; he would have snarled at Tim to get away from him, but he was still trying to control the twitches jerking his nerves about. Standing was a slow, difficult process, but his glower never left Lyle.]

We won't be speaking again, [he said, and that really meant that he wasn't going to zero, that Lyle wasn't in control of him - really, that no one was, because Erik could not accept that again - and that Lyle should probably sleep with the door locked and barred, because Erik doesn't deal with anger very well.]
