Barge coma is just another way for the man in charge to fuck with us.
[Private to Parker's friends (especially the Tough Ass Women club.)
So did I miss anything important while I was dead to the world?
[Private to Parker.]
You. Me. Talking. I've got something for you.
[Private to Angelica]
Let's play with some fucking swords.
[Private to Laura]
A drink?

Parker was carrying her sword in a sheath over her shoulder. She was wearing a suit and trademark heeled boots.]
Hey.
Spam!
Have you done this before? I confess, I am not terribly proficient with a sword myself.
Spam!
Clearly the Admiral thought I needed some more fucking beauty sleep, I guess.
[She flicked the scabbard off the sword easily, and grinned broadly. Maybe this was just the smallest bit like cheating.]
I took fencing all through college and kept up with it at the Centre.

[She grinned just a touch, then rolled up her sleeves before producing her own weapon. She held it aloft, inspecting it for a moment, then motioned for Parker to join her in the centre of the room.] You've not missed very much. Are you at least well-rested?
Re: Spam!
How's Beardy handling life after Judas?
[Heading to the center of the room, Parker nodded a bit.] I slept like the dead. I fucking scared Paddy half-to it when he found me comatose there.
Re: Spam!
And Beardy...Beardy is handling life well. [She laughed and positioned herself to duel with the sword in hand, waiting for Parker to do the same.] He has a new inmate and she keeps him very busy indeed. She is exceedingly violent - very different from Judas.

Quickly she raised her sword, watching Angelica and sizing her up a bit as she did so. It was funny, really, but the woman opposite her looked natural with the sword in her hand.]
Must be glad to have something a bit different. Engarde.
Spam
And there was really no need to cease their banter either while they fought.]
Sexby can reason with the very best of men, but he is no pacifist. Not like Judas. I think the change of pace is good for him.
Spam
I'm glad. You know. [Parker said, as she started to thrust.] I give him a lot of fucking respect: I like Judas but I would have choked him til he turned purple more than once.
Spam
[She frowned in spite of herself. Judas and his words still troubled her, and though she had washed her hands of him, Angelica hated the thought of speaking ill of him. And as it was, Parker was a friend of his.]
Re: Spam
However, the mention of Judas using things against Sexby made her frown as well. She remembered the flyers that he'd put up, but...] Well, at least he won't be pulling that shit again. Not when he's a god damn warden.
Spam
Realising she had somewhat given away her very secretive feelings on the matter, Angelica added quickly,] He knows of his responsibilities as a warden. He can handle himself.
Spam
She thrust slightly, and then she spoke softly.]
Alright, what happened, Angelica?
Spam
Judas made a silly mistake when Sexby was away, that is all. Honestly, tis no matter.
Spam
Yeah, so why do I think this silly mistake wasn't so fucking silly, Angie?
Spam
[Angelica shrugged and slipped the sword back into its scabbard, finding herself a seat on a nearby bench.] I simply do not know what I should think anymore, madam. I feel as though I am a horrible person, for I may have washed my hands of our mutual friend for good.
Spam
And then she listened, and she frowned. Along with Sveta, Angelica was one of the fucking bright and sunny people of the Barge and she couldn't fucking imagine her every being a horrible person.]
Yeah, I don't think so. You aren't the sort of person who does shit without reason. What happened?
Spam
Judas reacted quite poorly when Sexby left the Barge, and spoke in anger and said certain things that were...disturbing, though not genuine, as Judas is not a violent man. Still, the man he spoke with was worried enough to bring it to my attention, and I thought to speak to Judas to clear the air, as it were. Sadly, the conversation did not go very well.
[Angelica stared off at a spot in the wall across from her, her expression somewhat blank.] He can be so spiteful and horrid at times, and I think...I think it best if I stop speaking to him, before I do more damage to him and myself.
Spam
The problem was that the people in her life whom had tried to show that they cared? Well, they had been the sort of people who pretty much... did this. Jarod, Sydney, Denise--and too a certain extent Thomas, they all had shoved about things that in her opinion probably would have been best left the fuck alone.
There was a little nod when Angelica said that he can be spiteful and horrid and she remembered the mood that Judas had been in, and how he'd been spoiling for a fight.]
What the fuck did he say that was so bad, Angie?
Spam
Angelica looked around them, and once reassured that no one was about to listen she decided it was safe to speak.] I must say this before I tell you - he has said many things over the past year, Parker, and I had forgiven him for each and every one. I care very much for him. He can be kind and sweet and thoughtful, and was there for me as much as I was there for him. But I....
[She frowned.] In his anger he said things about Sexby not deserving his family. I thought he should feel some remorse for it, for it was a horrid thing to say about a man one professes to admire. He felt none. I also wished to warn him about his temper, as now he is a warden, and should be aware of what he might say to strangers in anger, but I worry that he will not. [Angelica rolled down her sleeves, setting her face into a stern expression.] He is graduated, by God. He is.
[A shrug,] But then I wonder if I was more apt to forgive him because he was Sexby's charge and I feared ruining Sexby's work, or if I was truly charmed by Judas when he has his moments of thoughtfulness.
Spam
This shocked her, and it was evident on her face.]
What. The. Fuck. [More of a statement than a question really, and Parker had an urge to punch him in the fucking face. It made her worry, it made her wonder and it made her question shit about the friendship that she had with Judas.]
Tell me Sexby punched him in the fucking mouth.
Spam
I confess, since arguing with Judas I've not sought out conversation with the man. [And there were other things - other realisations that made her believe that conversing with her husband's former inmate would be a mistake.] My husband cannot wash his hands of Judas Iscariot - nor would he for that matter, but I certainly can. I should, Parker, for I should never let any man cross me more than once.
Spam
When she was this angry, the last thing that Parker could do was sit still. She got to her feet and prowled quickly, moving back and forth. Really, she couldn't believe that Judas was that fucking retarded.
But there was more to this.]
He did this after he became a fucking warden? After he graduated?
Spam
Angelica watched as Parker stood and began to pace, nodding her head slowly.]
Aye, madam. After he graduated. I must add, he did fear the Sexby had abandoned him, though I reassured him otherwise. Sexby does not make promises he does not intend to keep. Still, I suppose I cannot truly fault him for worrying.
[Though Angelica certainly could still fault Judas for saying such things in public. She could fault him for not feeling remorse about it as well. She could fault him for being a hypocrite, and for being spiteful, for if he felt no remorse then he was inviting ill-will towards him.
She also could fault him for calling her a whore and wishing to do harm to her while she was with child, but those were very personal matters.]
Spam
For a moment, Parker didn't know what to say. She was thinking about how there were all those who were shitty and ill suited to be a warden, and there had been doubts about Judas from the beginning. There were even more at the moment.]
Do you think he can actually do this, Angie? Do you think he can be a warden and fucking suck it up?
[She needed to know if the doubts were only hers. And if she ever found out about the thing about the stairs? Parker would beat the shit out of Judas.]
